Installation at the Thompson Gallery, Furman University, Greenville, SC
I have always been fascinated with the modern urban landscape. Letterforms and shapes literally and metaphorically guide us as we traverse these landscapes both in our daily routines and in our travel experiences. The wayfinding signage assisting us forms part of the larger identity of place and culture that informs this work. I sought to examine, reproduce, deconstruct, and blend these visual cultural elements and create my own three-dimensional landscape installation with which viewers can interact.
